Licensed Professional Counselor & Board-Certified Art Therapist

Empowering You to Heal, Grow, and Thrive

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Board-Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC), I believe that healing begins in safe, compassionate relationships. My mission is to support you on your path to emotional well-being, personal growth, and inner resilience.

I specialize in providing mental health counseling and art therapy to individuals, teens, and military families. Whether you're navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, or major life transitions, I’m here to help you feel seen, supported, and empowered.

My approach to therapy is holistic and trauma-informed, integrating:

  • Talk therapy

  • Expressive art therapy

  • Mind-body techniques

This allows us to support your emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual health—treating the whole person, not just symptoms.

You already carry the strength and insight needed for healing and change. Through our work together, you’ll reconnect with your inner wisdom, learn practical tools for daily life, and move toward a more balanced, fulfilling future.

Whether you're seeking virtual therapy in Texas, Connecticut, or Virginia, or in-person sessions in Virginia Beach, I invite you to begin your journey today.

Client-Centered

Whether you're seeking support for anxiety, trauma recovery, grief, disordered eating, or low self-esteem, I offer a compassionate and collaborative approach to mental health counseling and art therapy.

My work is grounded in respect for your lived experience, identity, and inner strengths. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all—it's a partnership. I tailor each session to your personal goals, needs, and preferred ways of healing.

I integrate a range of evidence-based and expressive modalities to support your journey:

  • Strength-based and client-centered therapy

  • Expressive arts and art therapy (no artistic experience required)

  • Mindfulness practices and somatic (body-based) awareness

  • Culturally sensitive, trauma-informed care

  • Spiritual exploration and holistic healing support

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) tools

  • Motivational Interviewing for behavior change and self-awareness

Together, we’ll explore what healing looks like for you—through talk, art, reflection, and mind-body practices. My goal is to create a safe space where you feel empowered, supported, and capable of transformation.

Whether you're engaging in therapy online or in person, I'm here to help you reconnect with your strength and move forward with clarity and confidence.

Healing Through Creativity

No Art Experience Necessary

You don’t need any artistic experience to benefit from art therapy. As a Board-Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC), I offer clients the option to engage in creative expression as part of their mental health counseling journey. Art therapy is always optional and sessions are tailored to your comfort level and personal goals.

In art therapy, the focus is on the process, not the product. The act of drawing, shaping, painting, or building can help you express thoughts and emotions that may be difficult to put into words. Art becomes a new language—one that connects to parts of the brain and body that hold trauma, memory, and unspoken experience.

By engaging the senses through creative materials, you can:

  • Explore complex emotions

  • Access unconscious patterns

  • Release tension and trauma stored in the body

  • Build a deeper connection to self-awareness and healing

In my practice, I offer a wide variety of expressive materials, including:

  • Drawing tools, pens, pencils, markers, and inks

  • Paints such as acrylics and watercolors

  • Clay, modeling compounds, and natural objects

  • Collage materials, magazines, and textiles

  • Found objects and mixed media

I use both directive (guided) and non-directive (client-led) approaches, depending on your preferences and therapeutic needs. Whether you choose to work with art or prefer talk therapy, every session is designed to support your emotional, mental, and somatic healing.

Art therapy offers a powerful way to explore, build, protect, and transform—especially in the spaces where words fall short.
